The
Pyramids & Sphinx

Memphis

Sakkara is about 32kms by road from Cairo, and 21 kms south of the Giza
Pyramids. The famous pyramid of
Sakkara was built by Zoser. It is a step pyramid which is considered
a revolution in the concept of pyramids.

Egyptian Museum
The Egyptian Museum is one of the most unique museums in the world,
it contains a magnificent collection
of rare antiquities of the Pharaonic civilization. Artifacts and monuments
on display date back to about
50 centruies before our time. The museum contains one of the most exciting
and precious collections of the
famous Tut Ankh Amun.
Citadel
of Salah El-Din, Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque and Sultan Hassan Mosque
The famous Citadel was constructed by Salah El-Din in 1183 AD to dominate
Cairo from the Mokattam Hills. Within the Citadel walls there will be a visit to the famous Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, a fine example of Ottoman architecture. Sultan Hassan Mosque, in it's entirety is an example of Islamic architecture.
Khan
El-Khalili Bazaar
The famous market dates back to the end of the 14th Century AD.
Khan el Khalili is considered one of the greatest oriental bazaars in the world. The shops display a wonderful collection of brassware, rich textiles and other attractive oriental products.

It was completed in the 5th century AD and was rebuilt in the 10th centruy.
It's wooden portal is still
preserved.

It is built in the Basilica style and dates back to the 13th century
AD.
Overday
Alexandria
Drive by private air-conditioned microbus (220kms) to Alexandria. A
full day visit to the Greco-Roman Museum which contains about 40,000 valuable relics dating back to the 3rd century BC, the Roman Amphitheatre, Pompey's Pillar and Sarapeaum, catacombs of Kom, Es-Shugafa, Fort Qaitbey on which the famous Lighthouse of Pharos once stood (inaugurated in 283BC), one of the wonders of the Ancient World. Alexandria's most modern wonder, the library - "Bibliotheca Alexandria". Drive back
to Cairo.
Overday
Luxor
An early morning flight to Luxor. Meet and assist at Luxor airport.
A tour in Luxor to visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples, the West Bank which includes the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir ElBahari and Colossi of Memnun. An evening flight back to Cairo.

Al Azhar Mosque the construction began in 359 AH /972 AD and the Mosque was opened in361 AH / 972 AD. It was built by Jawhar AlSiquilty (the Sicilian) and it is the first Mosque erected by the Fatimids in Egypt and named Al Azhar after Fatima al Zahraa, the prohet Mohamed's daughter. AlAzhar is considered the oldest Islamic University when lecturers were first delivered in 975AD. Ibn Tulan Mosque, it is located at Al Khalifa district and it was the third mosque to be built in Egypt completed in 256AH / 879 AD. It is particularly noted for its immense size and very fine collection of stucco engravings, also the minarest is unique.
Half day visit Al Game'l Al Azrak (the Blue Mosque) and the School of Sultan Hassan with lunch.
The Blue Mosque was bulit by Ameer Aqsunqur in 748 AH / 1346 AD, it is located in Bab Al Wazeer street, it is famous for its marble Minbar and circular minaret. The Blue Mosque is so called becasue of the eastern wall covered in blue ceramic tiles. The Mosque and school of Sultan Hassan Mohamed lbn Mohamed lbn Qalawoun in 757 AH/1356 AD.
